LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Outdoor retailer REI will open its first Louisville co-op store this fall.

REI offers gear for camping, cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities. The Louisville location will also feature a full-service bicycle shop.

The grand opening weekend for the store at the Paddock Shops is set for Nov. 8-10.

The company said there are different ways to celebrate the opening. That includes morning giveaways when the store opens at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 11 a.m. Sunday while supplies last. With a donation to Duck, Duck, Goose, you can get a complementary coffee and an "exclusive" camp mug.

There will also be afternoon socials throughout the weekend, with more giveaways, music and more from 1-5 p.m. Outdoor brands and local nonprofits will also be on hand.

The company said it's coming to its customers, with nearly 30,000 people in Louisville and almost 80,000 throughout Kentucky already having a co-op membership in REI.

The Paddock Shops are located right off Exit 34 from Interstate 265.
